Fire Walk With Me

Work for me isn't always terrible. One of the great joys I have is taking a stack of DVDs and VHS down to the basement and, while cleaning them, watching something on the TV down there.

For the last month or so, I have gone through 29 episodes of "Twin Peaks".

Now that I've just finished it, it's an awfully strange sensation.

I've watched it all before, mostly just before school started for the Fall semester in 2002. See, I had watched what was on the DVD, which is season 1, with Bo during the 2001-2002 school year. I found out that Vision Video of Athens, GA had the entire series, so I watched the entire series in about five days in the middle of August 2002. It felt like a real triumph getting through the entire series. Even the later episodes were great to me (though perhaps not as good as the first few episodes).

Today, however, as I got to the end of the series, I had, and still have, the strangest feeling. I'm not entirely sure what it is, but I am quite certainly in some kind of daze. Something about the scenes in the Black Lodge towards the end have sent me into some sort of spell. It's quite strange. I feel mostly normal, but for some reason I can't seem to shake this yet.

Very strange. What a good show though (though I'm glad it's over and I can get to something more...sunny).
