Just wanted to mention that my old pal David Smith is escaping us Yanks yet again and headed to Norway, where he spent a few months already in 2005. This time, he has not purchased a return ticket and hopes to remain.

I say this not only because he is my friend, but also because I have a great deal of admiration for his writings: if you read one travel blog, make it Smity D's. I promise he won't disappoint (unless he stops posting).
